• Account information — name, email, Apple ID token.
• Recovery and habit data — daily habits, completions, relapse dates, streak history, XP, level, triggers, peak times, motivation type, and your personal commitment statement.
• Usage analytics — anonymized onboarding progress and feature usage patterns.
• Chat messages and recovery context — sent to our AI provider to generate coaching responses.
• Timezone and local time — used only for notification scheduling.

We do NOT collect: device identifiers, IP addresses, location data, or your contacts.

• Provide and personalize the Ember experience.
• Power AI coaching with your recovery context.
• Track anonymized usage patterns to improve the app.
• Manage your subscription.
• Send scheduled notifications (daily check-ins, danger zone alerts).

• OpenAI — powers AI coaching conversations. Your chat messages and recovery context are sent to OpenAI's API. OpenAI does not use your data to train models.
• Supabase — secure backend infrastructure for authentication and data storage.
• PostHog — anonymized usage analytics only. No personal data is shared.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase verification.
• Apple Sign In — authentication service provided by Apple.

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
• We implement industry-standard security practices.

• You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account).
• Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
• Anonymized analytics data may be retained.

Ember is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app.
